I started dancing at the association Manon Dans’son Monde in Allevard-les-Bains. I first did bellydancing with Marie-Noël Hamache, then tribal fusion with Cora Guilmot. Marie-Noël, the association founder, had also founded a oriental fusion - balkan style dance troupe with a wandering show calle “Ya du monde au Balkans !” : about fifteen dancers between 15 and 50 years old, some live music with Yebarov brass band, and a group of professional percussionnists playing on metal drums. We had the chance to be part of the Aurillac festival in 2013 and other events within the Rhône-Alpes area.
This dancing and human experience was so enlightening that it kept me elvolving in this field.
I travelled across France to take part to Tribal Fusion Festival, in order to meet great teachers and learn from them : Michelle Sorensen (USA), Yana Kremneva (Russie), ou encore Kami Liddle (USA) et Melli Sarina Baumeister (Allemagne) and many others. I was also curious about other dance styles, so I learned Bollywood dance with Sunny Singh et Megha Jagawat, Odissi dance with Madavi Mudgal, and Indoriental with Elizabeth Medina. I took contemporary classes with the Compagnie Au Pieds Levés in Grenoble for a few months. I’m also currently learning couple dances, such as salsa, bachata or kizomba.
Neo Tribal Fusion
In novembre 2018, I took part to the Illan Rivière’s intensive class "One movement method - phase one". He is a pioneer of the actual Tribal Fusion dance and he created "Neo tribal fusion" dance style, mixing the Tribal Fusion universe, and contemporary and biodynamic dance concepts. There are three steps to pratice Neo tribal Fusion :
- Phase One : Feel and follow
- Phase Two : Manipulate and transform
- Phase Three : Create and become
In Septembre 2019, I participated to the "ODI - Orchidacae Danse Intensive" by Piny Orchidacae in Lisboa. She is a Tribal Fusion, urban and contemporary dancer.
I started giving classes for children in 2014, with Manon Dans'Son Monde, so I could perfect my technique and pass down the things I had learned. Today with my friend Cora we also teach for adults in the same association.
I have been hired by Terre des Arts in 2017 to give Bellydance and Tribal Fusion lessons for children, teenagers and adults.
I decided to go freelance in September 2018 and I created my own business Meije Fusion Bellyance. This year I built a Bellydance - Tribal Fusion project with CROUS Grenoble, in order to gve lessons to the Grenoble students into their campus. This project keeps on going in 2019 with two levels of practise : beginner and intermediate.
I 2019, I open new classes for children and adults in Chambery and Le Bourget du Lac, at Love2Dance dance school.
